Ever wonder if there was a better way to send Emails?  What if you could see when a user received and opened an email? Now you can with the help of SendGrid.

We'll discuss:

  • How to set up a call to SendGrid using ColdFusion.
  • Using a template to send a plain text email as an HTML email.
  • Looking at the analytics of a sent email.

How do we call our SendGrid Function?  We could use a front facing CFM file, but we’ll be using Postman.  Postman is "…a powerful GUI platform to make your API development faster & easier, from building API requests through testing, documentation, and sharing."  I’ll show how to do basic functionality, and how it can be used to test your work.
